Project Description

Located in the upper reaches of the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge in California, midway between the communities of Spring Valley to the northwest and Jamul to the southeast in San Diego County, Caltrans District 11 has entered into an agreement with the Federal Highway Administration-Central Federal Lands Highway Division (FHWA-CFLHD) for improvements to the intersection of State Route 94 (Campo Road) and Millar Ranch Road. Access to a new gravel parking lot in the Refuge will be off of Millar Ranch Road. The parking lot will provide 40 vehicle spaces, 5 pull-through spaces for horse trailers and buses, Americans with Disabilities Act accommodations, and bicycle racks.
