Eleven Pines Road in Eldorado National Forest
Construction Updates - September 11, 2018
The Contractor is continuing repairs on the damaged sites on Eleven Pines Road. The contractor plans to complete paving operations on this route the week of September 17. The expected completion date for these repairs is estimated to be September 28, 2018 however, the El Dorado National Forest must remove additional debris from other sections of the roadway before it can be opened to the public.
The repairs to damaged sites on Ellis Road have been completed. There are currently no traffic restrictions on this route related to this construction project.
The Contractor plans to begin debris removal operations on Blacksmith Flat Road adjacent to the Ralston Bay Powerhouse once paving operations on Eleven Pines Road are complete, likely on September 24, 2018. Blacksmith Flat Road will remain closed during construction activities.
The expected completion date for these repairs is estimated to be November 30, 2018.
The scope of this project involves various spot repairs on Eleven Pines Road, Ellis Road, and Blacksmith Flat Road. Damage generally consists of embankment failures caused by overwhelmed drainage features. The Blacksmith Flat Road site consists of a large cut-side landslide.
