Eleven Pines Road in Eldorado National Forest
Construction Updates - July 3, 2018
The Contractor is continuing repairs on the damaged sites on Eleven Pines Road. The expected completion date for these repairs is estimated to be August 31, 2018; however, the Forest has additional debris removal on other sections of the route before the road can be opened to the public.
The Contractor plans to mobilize to damaged sites on Ellis Road on July 11, 2018 and will begin construction activities on or around July 16, 2018. Ellis Road will remain closed during construction activities.
The Contractor plans to begin debris removal operations on Blacksmith Flat Road adjacent to the Ralston Bay Powerhouse on July 23, 2018. Blacksmith Flat Road will remain closed during construction activities.
The scope of this project involves various spot repairs on Eleven Pines Road, Ellis Road, and Blacksmith Flat Road. Damage generally consists of embankment failures caused by overwhelmed drainage features. The Blacksmith Flat Road site consists of a large cut-side landslide.
