Construction Updates

Construction has begun. Marshlands Road is open, but may be down to one-lane traffic at a time with flaggers present. The temporary construction bypass is under construction and will open by November 2017. Please use caution through the work-zone and be alert for bicycles.

Project Description

This project, in the Don Edwards San Francisco National Wildlife Refuge (DONED) in Alameda County, includes replacement of the La Riviere Marsh Bridge and rehabilitation of Marshlands Road from the bridge to Thornton Avenue. The project will provide bike lanes on Marshlands Road, new guardrail, and will include improvements at the boat launch parking area.
