La Riviere Marsh Bridge & Marshlands Road
Construction continues and is on track to be complete by Spring 2018. Marshlands Road is open, but may be down to one-lane traffic at a time with flaggers present, or by use of a temporary traffic signal. Please use caution through the work-zone and be alert for bicycles and pedestrians.
This project, in the Don Edwards San Francisco National Wildlife Refuge in Alameda County, includes replacement of the La Riviere Marsh Bridge and rehabilitation of Marshlands Road from the bridge to Thornton Avenue. The project will provide bike lanes on Marshlands Road, new guardrail, and will include improvements at the boat launch parking area. Marshlands Road will remain open throughout construction with minor delays and traffic down to one lane.
