Monterey Bay Sanctuary Scenic Trail

Project Description

The project consists of 2.1 miles of multi-use trail parallel to existing railroad tracks north of the City of Santa Cruz, California, starting at rail mile post 29.0, and continuing to the town of Davenport. The trail includes a 12-foot paved trail and a parallel variable-width gravel trail. For the most part, the trail is on the coast side of the existing railroad tracks. The project includes parking areas at Davenport Beach, Yellowbank/Panther Beach, and access to Bonny Doon parking lot.
