Repairs to the Arlington Memorial Bridge
- All project work is complete. No further impact on traffic is anticipated.
The project consists of structural repairs to the Arlington Memorial Bridge, concrete sidewalk repairs, drainage improvements, asphalt overlay, and other miscellaneous work.
Traffic Control / Affects to Public
Construction will be performed in several stages. During several phases of the work, expect lane closures. A minimum of one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times on the Arlington Memorial Bridge during construction.
The permanent closures of the outside lanes will remain in place until the structural bridge repairs are complete. There will be no additional lane closures on the bridge during designated rush hours (5am to 9:30am & 2:30pm to 7:00pm, Monday through Friday).
Expect night work and work on weekends.
This project was awarded on July 1, 2015. Major construction is expected to begin on or about September 14, 2015. The project was substantially complete May 2016. Some additional pavement repairs were added after completion and were completed April 2017.
