Resurfacing approximately 2.9 miles of the northbound and southbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway between the I-495 interchange and the Beaver Dam Road Bridge. The work includes asphalt pavement milling and overlay, pavement markings, shoulder rumble strips, signage replacement, and other miscellaneous work.

Traffic Control / Affects to Public

The B/W Parkway will be open to traffic at all times. No lane closures will occur during the standard B/W Pwy rush hours of 5:30 am to 9:30 am, and 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm, Monday through Friday. During non-rush hours and on weekends, drivers may expect single lane closures in the northbound and southbound directions of the Parkway. Travelers should also expect nighttime operations.

Design/Construction Schedule

The project was awarded on August 17, 2016. Construction operations began on October 3, 2016. The project was substantially completed by February 2017. Additional repairs were performed in June 2017. Project is now complete.
