Jamaica Bay ERFO Hurricane Sandy Repairs to Damaged or Destroyed Road Portions Design-Build
Project Description
The project is funded under the Emergency Relief for Federally Owned Roads program (ERFO). Work on Shore Road (Fort Tilden) includes aggregate base, construction of a sand and clamshell roadway along the existing alignment, installation of new swing arm gates, and other miscellaneous work. The old roadway was concrete, however, due to the damage from the hurricane, it became unusable, and the damaged pavement has been removed in 2015. Shore Road is between West Road and Davis Road. Work on Battery Harris Trail/Range Road includes aggregate base, aggregate-topsoil resurfacing, clearing and grubbing, and other miscellaneous work. Battery Harris Trail/Range Road is north of Shore Road and is between West Road and East Road. Project is in Fort Tilden off Rockaway Point Boulevard.
