Project Overview

On January 15, 2015, Western Federal Lands Highway Division awarded a construction contract to High Desert Aggregate & Paving Inc. (HDAP) from Terrebonne, OR for $7,938,230.60.

This contract will reconstruct 8 miles of two-lane paved roadway, public road approaches, numerous private driveway approaches and the Sno-Park parking area along Skyliners Road. In addition, the existing gravel parking area at Phil's Trailhead will be reconstructed and additional parking area will be built just north of the trailhead.

The scope of work on this project includes excavation and embankment, subexcavation and backfill, placement of aggregate and asphalt paving, traffic signing and striping, plus minor drainage work.

The contractors surveyor will be checking survey control and staking clearing limits between March 16th through March 27th, 2015.

Additional work, off site, includes select borrow production. Roadway construction is anticipated to begin April 13, 2015.
