Historic Pedestrian Stone Bridge Preservation

Project Description

Repair deteriorated mortar in masonry joints, replace concrete parging with shotcrete, place grout and engineered riprap to protect substructure units, replace asphalt bridge deck surface with waterproofing membrane to protect the deck, followed by asphalt surface and chip seal overlay, and other miscellaneous work. The bridge is located off the Stone Bridge parking lot along US Route 29 (Lee Highway).
