Project Overview

The project will provide micro surfacing pavement preservation treatments on various roads, parking lots, and camp grounds in the Olympic National Park. The pavement preservation treatments will extend the life of the asphalt pavements. The project will include pavement patching, crack sealing, micro surfacing, and pavement markings and signs.

The project is comprised of a Base Schedule and Option Z:

  • The Base schedule consists of 4,375 square yards of patching, 18 miles of crack sealing, 481,500 square yards micro surfacing, and pavement marking on 28.86 miles of roads and parking areas on Sol Duc Valley Road and the Hurricane Ridge area.
  • Option Z schedule consists of 1,150 square yards of patching, 9 miles of crack sealing, 112,000 square yards of micro surfacing, and pavement marking on 4.3 miles of roads and parking areas in the Sol Duc, Fairholme, Log Cabin, and Lake Crescent Lodge areas.
