New River Gorge National River Rehabilitation of Four Bridges

Project Description

Rehabilitation of Mill Creek Bridge, Upper Glade Creek Bridge, Fayette Station Bridge over Wolf Creek, and Camp Brookside Access Bridge. Mill Creek Bridge is located on Glade Creek Road south of intersection with State Route 41. Upper Glade Creek Bridge is located on Scott Branch Road east of intersection with State Route 307. Fayette Station Bridge over Wolf Creek is located is on Fayette Station Road off State Route 85/9 (Fayette Mine Road). Camp Brookside Access Bridge is located on N. Mullens Road off State Route 20. The work includes repairing and replacing timber bridge members (rails, posts, curbs, decking, and running boards), replacing timber structural members (handrails, decking, running boards), cleaning and painting steel bridge members, repairing and repointing stone masonry, construction of a concrete retaining wall, and other miscellaneous work.
