ADHOC DESCRIPTIONS

Asphalt Curb Base Width” - Type 3 curb total width at the base in master units.

Asphalt Curb Height” - Type 3 curb total height in master units.

Asphalt Curb Back Taper” - Type 3 curb back taper distance in master units.

Asphalt Curb Front Taper” - Type 3 curb front taper distance in master units.

EOP Offset” - Distance measured from the edge of proposed asphalt pavement inward towards the baseline where the type 3 curb is to be drawn.

Cut Bench Width” - Distance in master units drawn beyond back of curb before breaking to a cut slope when the top back of curb is below existing ground.

Cut Bench Slope” - Slope in a Rise:Run format to be used for the adhoc “Cut Bench Width”. Do not forget the colon between the numbers.

Backfill Slope” - Slope in a Rise:Run format to be used for the adhoc “Backfill Max Width”. Do not forget the colon between the numbers.

Backfill Max Width” - Maximum width allowed to try to tie to existing ground using the slope set by the adhoc “Backfill Slope”.

Embankment Bench Width” - Distance in master units drawn beyond back of curb before breaking to a fill slope when the top back of curb is above existing ground.

Embankment Bench Slope” - Slope in a Rise:Run format to be used for the adhoc “Embankment Bench Width”. Do not forget the colon between the numbers.

Embankment Fill Slope” - There are two options for the Embankment Fill Slope. The first option is to specify a slope in a Rise:Run format to be used to tie to the existing ground in a fill situation when the “Backfill Max Width” option does not work. Do not forget the colon between the numbers. The second option is to specify the letters ST to force the criteria to use the Slopes Table generated through the re-definable variables.

Close Pavt Vertical” - Y (for Yes) or N (for No) to close the pavement vertically with a type 3 curb.

Force Bench Width” - Use Yes (Y) or No (N) to force the complete width of the Embankment Bench Width. If the top of the curb is above existing ground, setting this to yes will force the full width of the bench even if the bench crosses the existing ground line. If this is set to yes and the embankment bench does goes under ground, the ditch foreslope and ditch width will automatically be forced to a a zero distance. This will result in the ditch backslope connecting to the existing ground using the cut slopes table. If this is set to yes but the entire bench is still above ground, the setting will then have no effect and the tie to ground process will proceed as normal.
