NOTE: The determining factor that decides whether the Random Rubble or Ashlar wall is drawn is triggered by the adhoc “Footing Thickness”. If this adhoc value is greater than zero, then the Random Rubble wall is drawn. To draw the Ashlar wall, simply set the adhoc “Footing Thickness” to zero.

ADHOC DESCRIPTIONS

Spreadsheet Name” - Name of the Comma Separated Value (CSV) file that sets the widths of the individual reinforcement lengths. The file must reside in the working directory.

NOTE: See sample CSV file at the bottom of this document.

Wall Reveal Height” - Distance in master units, from the top edge of pavement to the top of the guardwall.

Footing Thickness” (Random Rubble only) - Thickness in master units, of the Random Rubble guardwall footing thickness.

NOTE: The determining factor the decides whether the Random Rubble or Ashlar wall is drawn is triggered by this adhoc “Footing Thickness”. If this adhoc value is greater than zero, then the Random Rubble wall is drawn. To draw the Ashlar wall, simply set the adhoc “Footing Thickness” to zero.

Footing Width” (Random Rubble only) - Thickness in master units, of the Random Rubble guardwall footing width.

Min. Stem Height” (Random Rubble only) - Thickness in master units, of the Random Rubble guardwall from the bottom of the footing to the top of the guardwall.

Guardwall Width” - Wall thickness in master units measured from front face to back face of wall.

Wall Veneer Thickness” - Thickness in master units of the area reserved for hand placement of the stone veneer.

NOTE: The extra width of Reinforcement Length Lift 1 provides a “shelf” for the placement of the stone veneer.

Wall Batter” - Slope in a Rise:Run format of the outside face of the MSE wall. Be sure to include the colon between the numbers.

Backfill Height” - Minimum cover for the toe of the footing in master units.

Backfill Width” - Wall backfill width in master units. This is located beyond the back face of the wall.

Embedment Depth” - Minimum depth below existing ground measured to the bottom of the MSE wall lifts. This does NOT include the depth of the leveling pad. This number MUST be greater than zero. Note, the use of a bottom of footing profile may cause this value to fail. In the event the minimum embedment depth is not met by the use of a profile, a warning message will be drawn indicating such.

Leveling Pad Depth” - Thickness in master units of the leveling pad used at the base of the MSE Wall existing ground.

Setback Width” - Minimum required horizontal distance measured from the base of the leveling pad to the daylight of existing ground. This number MUST be greater than zero. Note, the use of a bottom of footing profile may cause this value to fail. In the event the minimum setback width is not met by the use of a profile, a warning message will be drawn indicating such.

Additional Exc Width Back” - Distance in master units to extend the width of the MSE wall excavation in the back.

Additional Exc Width Front ” - Distance in master units to extend the width of the MSE wall excavation in the front.

Wall Excavation Slope” - Slope in a Rise:Run format of the existing unsuitable line connecting to the existing ground line for the MSE Wall. Be sure to include the colon between the numbers.

Bottom Footing Profile Name” - Specify the name of the proposed profile associated with the Phase 2 Design of the MSE wall.

IMPORTANT: Set this to “none” until the phase 2 chain and profile have been established using Cross Section Reports and COGO. In the phase 2 design the user MUST specify the correct COGO profile name to this adhoc.

Wall Chain Name” - Specify the name of the proposed chain associated with the Phase 2 Design of the MSE wall.

Wall Lift Height” - Thickness in master units of each MSE Wall lift. This number MUST be greater than zero.
